The perfect amplifier and the perfect speaker or the perfect marriage according to some experts or some internet “snobs” …

Feelings and emotions versus specifications:

For a long time, I have wanted to talk to you about this, about my past, my brief experience in the studio and on stage but above all about my observations during my 30 years of selling audio and advising people. Music, this art which has the power to move us and immerse us in times to bring back memories. The music is powerful. More powerful than the sound that comes from it.

The music lover versus the audiophile:

For the first, it’s the music first and for the second, it’s the sound. But why not both? When Leonardo Da Vinci painted the Mona Lisa, he did not measure his brushes or the amount of red or blue he used. Art cannot be measured. We feel and feel things. The best song is not the one with the most meaning or words. Same thing for the voice: it can be powerful, capable of several octaves, but it is not its power or its range that will give us chills.

It’s not always the fastest cars that have the most beautiful curves and are the most exciting to drive, and it’s not always the most beautiful people that make us want to know them better. It’s not the strongest chairs that are the most comfortable and it’s not the most powerful speakers that make us forget we’re in front of them.

Preparing a good sound system is like preparing a good meal. It takes the right ingredients, the right dosage, the right cooking, etc. Those who excel have cooked a lot and experimented a lot. They don’t always have their noses in the recipe book, they go there by instinct and experience, and they taste and taste again.

To you who know the technique and who swear by the specifications and who measure everything, go there instinctively. The best “specs” and the strongest constructions are not always a guarantee of success. In the era where artificial intelligence invades us, I am happy to make mistakes, and I am proud to avoid using it as much as possible. When I consider a product for the store, I listen to it first, then I inquire and, at the very end, after having chosen it, I check the “specs” and I see what others think of it, but only afterwards. I will always make it my duty to advise you with my heart and my passion.
